OUR BLIMPS

Specifications:

3.9 meters in length – details to be provided soon

LEAVE THE FLYING TO US

There are several reasons why you may want us to do the blimp flying:

  • someone locally with suitable radio control experience may not be available to fly the blimp
  • you are paying and accommodating your trade show sales staff to promote and sell your product/service, not fly blimps
  • this is a one time event or you only have a couple of events each year so it's not worth purchasing a blimp and learning how to fly it

We need to know:

  • is the event indoor or outdoor?
  • how big is the indoor building; floor area, ceiling height, seating capacity?
  • are you providing accommodation and meals?
  • do you already have insurance for this event?
  • do you have permission from the trade show organizer/building owner to fly the entire floor area?
  • dates, times and location?

We can provide:

  • experienced blimp pilot
  • travel to and from event, local transportation, accommodation and meals for pilot
  • all equipment (blimp, batteries, chargers, filling regulator & hose)
  • liability insurance coverage if necessary
  • advertising signs
  • helium

Outdoor R/C Blimp Safety

The Outdoor Radio Controlled Blimp operates much like other radio controlled model aircraft, using similar engines, fuel, batteries and servos. The 2.4 GHz programmable radio transmitter and dual receiver is free from any type of frequency interference including RF noise.

Pilot trainees must have a minimum 5 years experience operating radio controlled model aircraft and must show good judgment for safety.

The blimp is flown upwind so that if one engine fails there is still enough power to fly safely downwind to your setup area. It is also flown “heavier than air” so that if both engines fail it will come down and not float around as a hazard to full size aircraft.

The blimp has two separate envelopes. An Outer "non-laminated" rip-stop nylon shell and an inner polyurethane helium holding bladder. Everything is attached to the outer nylon shell with no direct stress on the inner helium bladder. This offers theb maximum operating durability and safety.

All our blimps are filled with the inert gas helium. Helium gas is non-flammable, non-combustible and non-toxic. Since it is a compressed gas, the only danger comes from the improper handling of the cylinders when moving them or improperly using the pressure regulator.

Outdoor aerial advertising is very dramatic and extremely visible

There is no other comparison. It is easy to recall an airship as is gracefully flies by. People are still fascinated with things that fly and remember seeing a blimp long after other forms of advertising have been forgotten. They are unique, they are big and as such, they make very powerful statements.

Blimps are unusual, there are only a handful flying throughout the world. Because they are rare, they often receive more than their share of additional advertising and exposure. When a blimp is in your area, it often shows up in the local papers, talked about on radio, and sometimes even shows up on a news broadcast on TV.

They definitely outclass all other traditional forms of advertising. They are much more than floating billboards. People talk about seeing them and that’s just what we want them to do.

Imagine your company’s advertising flying slowly overhead providing unparalleled exposure. Your blimp can be scheduled to show up at major outdoor events and other areas of large concentrations of people.
